College Educational Resources

The following resources are available only to the College of Veterinary Medicine community.

Atlas of Veterinary Neuropathology
This database of color images supplements the text Veterinary Neuropathology, authored by B.A. Summers, A. de Lahunta and the late J.F. Cummings. This site provides users with a large number of images beyond those that appear in the book, and serves two purposes. One is to offer many more images showing diagnostic pathologic features of the specific disease entities covered in the book, while the other is to create a general training resource in Veterinary & Comparative Neuropathology.

Musculoskeletal System
This module provides a thorough resource for the key musculoskeletal and nervous system structures essential for weight bearing and locomotion, allowing the student to learn fundamental anatomical details of bones, joints, muscles and innervation to muscle groups of the thoracic and pelvic limbs. This information has been put into a conceptual framework in which students assess weight bearing and gait in the dog. Patient evaluation is demonstrated through palpation, gait assessment and neurologic exam.

Rooney's Guide to the Dissection of the Horse, Image Collection
This database of color images supplements the text Rooney's Guide to the Dissection of the Horse, 7th edition, Orsini and Sack. This site provides users with a large number of images in addition to those that appear in the book.

This database is intended to facilitate the accurate anatomic diagnosis of disorders of the nervous system in domestic animals. The video clips are a component of the third edition of Veterinary Neuroanatomy and Clinical Neurology by Alexander de Lahunta and Eric Glass and published by Elsevier in 2008. The video clips are organized by the chapters in this textbook where the case descriptions of the patients observed in the video clips can be found.
