As you might imagine, the faculty of the Baker Institute and the Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine receive a large number of requests for clinical and/or diagnostic information. Unfortunately, as a dedicated research institute, we are not staffed to provide medical information or assistance on an individual basis.

There are resources and services available across the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine you may find useful:

  • People from across the country choose to bring their animals to Cornell University Hospital for Animals here in Ithaca. See a complete lists of College of Veterinary Medicine Animal Hospitals and contact information here.

  • VetAccess is a fee-based customized research and document delivery service that provides rapid and easy access to information contained in the Flower-Sprecher Veterinary Library at Cornell's College of Veterinary Medicine. Practicing veterinarians, researchers, animal or pet owners, or simply people with a passion for up-to-date information on all aspects of veterinary medicine can use VetAcces.
  • Veterinary professionals seeking advice regarding the use or interpretation of a variety of veterinary diagnostic tests can visit the Animal Heath Diagnostic Center website.

  • The Cornell Feline Health Center operates the Camuti Consultation Service, an over-the-phone consultation line, available to both practicing veterinarians and pet owners at 1-800-548-8937. Please note, there may be a charge for consulting with them.
