Fields of Study
The Biological & Biomedical Sciences (BBS) Graduate Program is an umbrella-structured program comprised of five fields:
• Comparative Biomedical Sciences
• Immunology & Infectious Disease
• Molecular & Integrative Physiology
• Zoology & Wildlife Conservation
Because the BBS program is structured as an umbrella program, students are immersed in interdisciplinary training and exposed to research opportunities across a breadth of disciplines. Students enjoy a collaborative atmosphere that emphasizes the interface between scientific research and clinical practice, with a commitment to optimizing the health of all animal species. The BBS Program accepts applications for PhD study only. Admissions decisions are made on an annual basis; the application deadline is December 1 for admission in the following Fall semester.
