Title: Novel Molecular, Genetic, and Multi-Omic Strategies for Developing New Therapeutics for Fibrolamellar Carcinoma
Project Amount: $200,000
Project Period: June 2018 to May 2019

DESCRIPTION (provided by applicant):

The aims of the project are to: (1) investigate the mechanism underlying miR-375-mediated control of fibrolamellar carcinoma (FLC) growth and invasion; (2) test the role of LINC00473 in FLC molecular etiology and disease severity; and (3) implement ChRO-seq technology to identify mechanisms of miR-375 and LINC00473 perturbation and also to define the altered landscape of CREB1 binding and transcriptional activity in FLC. The ultimate goal of the project is to develop novel therapeutic avenues.
