Research/Clinical Interest

Professional interests include informatics and emerging veterinary information technology, education technology, entrepreneurship, preclinical imaging, small animal abdominal ultrasound.

Biography

Dr. Thompson earned her DVM degree from the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, completed a rotating internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, and her residency training at the University of Florida.  She is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology.  A member of the Cornell faculty since 2006, Dr. Thompson holds an appointment with the Department of Clinical Sciences as Associate Clinical Professor, Section of Imaging, and currently serves as Associate Dean of Hospital Operations and Corporate Relations, and Director of the Cornell University Hospital for Animals.
